As you are aware, the meeting was called in light of recent media information that suggested that the Parkerville project was not fully understood. The meeting would give project partners the opportunity to provide accurate information and address the concerns of the Group. Please be aware that this meeting was never to be a forum for prompt decisions made by the developer. In fact, as the land owner, he is not qualified or in the position to make planning decisions and relies on the advice and guidance of planning consultants. Other concerns, such as marketing material, would also need to be investigated after the meeting. If such concerns are correct, they would have certainly have been done in error and without malicious intent. As there is no real place for the developer at a technically focussed meeting, we did not think his attendance would be an issue. However, since the meeting was cancelled on this basis, we must assume that your motivation to attend was somewhat different to that of the meeting's purpose - a forum for accurate information to be transferred. If your interest in details of the project is genuine, we would be more than happy to reschedule an appointment with the planning consultants and myself. We are very interested in hearing your concerns and addressing them where possible. I trust you appreciate our position in this situation and hope we can establish a productive communication flow which is in the best interest of both parties. Kind regards, Amanda Fay for Parkerville Highlands
